About Us
Evan was born on Aberogwrn Farm, and showed from an early age that he was a keen stockman on the family's dairy farm.
Evan's grandfather and his parents trained and rode winners under rules and point to points. He left school age 16, and combined riding point-to-point winners with working at home on the farm. In 1998 he started training a handful of point-to-pointers and met with meteoric success.
In 2002 he won the National Point-to-Point Championship and later became the leading point-to-point trainer in Britain. In all Evan has trained and ridden over 200 point-to-point winners. In 2003/2004 Evan took out his trainer’s license and his successes in racing continued. He trained a Grade 1 winner (Sunray) within 6 months of receiving his license.
